Music, Cooking, Extended Care, and Summer Programs

Music naturally delights and moves children. Music is also an integral part of the learning process and it helps children have fun and learn about the life around them.
We are very happy to include a music appreciation class in our prekindergarten curriculum. The children will learn songs about nature, animals, transportation, shapes, colors, numbers, feelings, letters, etc. Singing promotes overall musicality, articulation, develops memory, and lifts up our spirit. In addition to singing, movement activities, dancing, and musical games, the children will work with musical instruments and they will learn about musical beats, musical tempo, soft and loud sounds, accelerating and slowing down, and they will learn to start and stop movements with the music. All these activities will promote coordination, self-control, and refine their listening skills. The children will also have opportunities to compose their own music and dance, which fosters their creativity as well as develops their self-esteem.
Our preschool cooking class is fun and educational. The children enhance their fine motor skills, learn about nutrition, measurement, fractions, shapes, how to follow directions, participate in science and sensory exploration, and cooperate with each other. The children bring home each recipe.
We have Extended Care classes which are additional hours of childcare that families may elect to use for an additional hourly fee. Extended care can be used occasionally or on a contracted basis, depending on the needs of the family.
Our regular full day class is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Extended Care is before 9 a.m. and after 4 p.m.
We have the most fun-filled, action packed summer program with lots of learning in air conditioned classrooms and outdoor activities. We have new themes each week so we can engage the children in special projects, computers, games, and art activities. Our summer activities will develop your child's intellect, social skills, creativity, and self-esteem.
